Goal:
Fly safely, maintain orientation, and land consistently.

Week 1 – Simulator Intensive
Minimum: 5–10 hours total
Practice:
- Throttle control
- Straight & level flight
- Gentle left/right turns
- Large oval circuits
- Landing approaches
Target: Land successfully 5 times in a row (simulator)
Week 2 – First Real Flights
Focus only on:
- Takeoff (or assisted launch)
- Maintain altitude
- Gentle turns
- Controlled landing
Rules:
- Fly in calm weather
- Keep plane in front of you
- Fly high (mistakes need altitude)
Target: 3 successful flights without crash
Week 3 – Basic Circuits
Practice:
- Rectangular traffic pattern
- Consistent landing approach
- Throttle management
- Recovery from wrong orientation
Learn:
- What is CG?
- Basic pre-flight inspection
- LiPo battery care
Target: Smooth landing within chosen landing zone
Week 4 – Confidence Building
Practice:
- Figure 8 pattern
- Controlled descent
- Dead-stick glide (power off glide)
- Basic stall awareness
Target: No panic during orientation change
 MONTH 2 – SKILL DEVELOPMENT
 Goal:
Develop precision and aircraft understanding.

Week 5 – Precision Control
Practice:
- Smaller figure 8
- Altitude control
- Consistent speed flying
Learn:
- Dual rates & expo setup
- Control surface trimming
Week 6 – Basic Maneuvers
Try:
- Shallow dive recovery
- Climb & glide
- Gentle chandelle turn
 Avoid:
- Loops
- Rolls
- Inverted flight
Week 7 – Emergency Handling
Practice:
- Simulated motor cut
- Crosswind landing (light wind only)
- Stall recovery
Learn:
- ESC basics
- Motor KV basics
- Battery C rating basics
Week 8 – Plane Setup Skills
You should now:
- Check CG independently
- Adjust control throws
- Replace propeller safely
- Balance prop (basic)
Optional:
- Install telemetry
- Upgrade battery
MONTH 3 – ADVANCED BEGINNER LEVEL
 Goal:
Transition from beginner to sport pilot.

4
Week 9 – First Aerobatics (Trainer Only If Capable)
Try at high altitude:
- Gentle loop
- Very slow aileron roll
- Stall turn (basic)
If trainer not suitable → continue precision flying.
Week 10 – Upgrade Decision
Decide your direction:
- Stay trainer
- Move to low-wing sport plane
- Move to glider
- Move to aerobatic
Good sport transition example:
- E-flite T-28 Trojan
- FMS Extra 300

Week 11 – Low-Wing Transition (If Ready)
Practice:
- Faster landing approach
- Higher stall speed awareness
- Smooth coordinated turns
Week 12 – Skill Consolidation
You should now be able to:
Takeoff confidently
Fly pattern consistently
Land accurately
Recover from minor mistakes
Handle light wind
 Skill Milestones Summary
| Month | Skill Level |
|---|---|
| Month 1 | Controlled Beginner |
| Month 2 | Confident Pilot |
| Month 3 | Sport Flyer |
 Optional Upgrade Timeline
After 3 months you may consider:
- Better transmitter
- More powerful motor
- Larger plane (1200–1500mm)
- Second battery pack
 What NOT To Rush
 EDF Jets
 Fast warbirds
 Large gas planes
 FPV long range
 Realistic Expectation
Crashes will happen. Even experienced pilots crash.
The goal of 3 months is not perfection.
The goal is confidence and control.
